Empty/Full
Seascapes and Poetry
Camel Rock
Poetry and paintings are from a show that I did several years ago with my long-time friend and painting teacher, Deborah Terrell. Armed with brush, ink, and paper and small jars of water, we would brave the wind and rain to try to paint this amazing coastline near Trinidad. Every day was an adventure and our attempts were not always successful but despite that, what was successful was a happy exploration of our lives as artists and an intense connection to rock, water, wave, and mist. We culminated this exploration with a show at Trinidad Art Gallery in 2000, titled "Empty/Full: Trinidad Seascapes."
My own poetry, journal writings, and writings from Chinese poets and scholars were included in the show.
I hope you enjoy the show!
